3-HOUR TRAINING COURSE
Airway Management
This 3-hour course will equip learners with the necessary skills, knowledge and expertise on how to manage a casualty’s airway in the event of an emergency.
The course is suitable for first aiders, prehospital care providers and those working in high risk environments.
Duration:
A 3-hour course consisting of theory and practical work.
Syllabus:
A range of subjects are covered including:
- The respiratory system
- Principles of airway management
- Airway examination and assessment
- The airway management ladder
- Practical training
Certification
Although there is no formal assessment, the trainer will assess each individual ongoing throughout the course and issue a certificate of attendance.
Numbers
A maximum of 16 students can be accommodated on this course.
Age limit
Learners must be a minimum of 16 years of age to attend the course.
